A rising talent in the global Deep/Melodic House scene, Redfreya is drawn to melodic, percussive and hypnotic tracks, weaving deep groove lines with emotive vocals, and always seeking to curate an emotional arc in her sets. An eclectic selector with a broad aesthetic palette which is balanced against a niche and recognisable 'sound', she selects music from a wide range of genres to create surprising, energetic and euphoric moments to the rave dancefloor.
Over the last year she joined Burning Man's iconic Mayan Warrior at their sold out London showcase at KOKO, and has been been invited to play for multiple iconic label showcases including Camelphat at Drumsheds, ISOLATE at E1, Selador, Bedrock, Anjunadeep, The Soundgarden and more.
Personally invited by John Digweed to open for him on numerous occasions, she is quickly turning industry heads with her unique DJ techniques and original sound, to be at this level in her career before making any solo releases of her own (she has one co-release out on Hardt Antoine's Reculture imprint - Perception). She also has a lot of original unreleased tracks that she plays in her own DJ sets, and these will be coming out on labels over the upcoming year.
Redfreya has been touring internationally since 2022, playing shows in Spain/Ibiza, Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Turkey, and Scotland. She recently returned from ADE in Amsterdam where she played 5 shows, including for WHENWEDIP and at the Armarda Music HQ. She has already shared the bill with top-tier melodic talent, including Trikk, Frankey & Sandrino, Mano Le Tough, Âme, Camelphat, Damian Lazarus, Fideles, Henrik Schwarz, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Denis Horvat, John Digweed, Lee Burridge, Jan Blomqvist, Nick Warren, Jonathan Kaspar, Desiree, Oona Dahl, Roy Rosenfeld, Saint Vie, Dominik Eulberg, Rodriguez Jr, Tinlicker and many more.
Conducting her activities in the music scene like a true taste-maker, bringing her pioneering mindset to all she does. Invited to hold the first ever weekly radio residency on Bloop London Radio (which celebrates 4 years of consistent radio shows). She also founded her own events brand: REDFREYA & FRIENDS, which has held 4x parties over the last year (3 of which were sold out!), inviting guest headliners Super Flu, Sascha Braemer, Gabriel Ananda and Fur Coat. Her next event will be a collaboration with Guy J's label event series: WEARELOST, where she is hosting her own room and inviting upcoming talents Motip White and Presia to join her.
She has played numerous times across all London venues of note, including fabric, E1, KOKO, Egg, Studio338, Studio9294, The Steelyard, ColourFactory, Night Tales, alongside her longstanding residency at BEAT Club where she has been on frequent opening & closing duties and is highly experienced in adapting to any crowd, set-time or environment.
A lifelong music lover, Redfreya began her musical career with a solid grounding in classical training as a flautist, singer and pianist, and was initially inspired by minimalist composers such as Philip Glass, Nils Frahm, Yann Tiersen and The Cinematic Orchestra. When she discovered electronic music, this progressed to a broad-spectrum love of all melodic, deep and progressive genres of house and techno - "I don't discriminate by genre but to me, music has to be emotional, danceable and beautiful". She is currently studying music production, with several releases scheduled for later in 2024.
She has risen quickly from obscurity to become a recognisable face on the London and international club circuit over the last 24 months, in addition to establishing a loyal fanbase via curating many mixes for international podcasts, alongside her weekly Bloop radio-shows - all of which can be found via her soundcloud page (linked below).
2024-25 is sure to see her continue to make stratospheric progress towards establishing her consistent presence in the electronic music industry.

Redfreya has been a core resident at BEAT CLUB since March 2022, and in the past 18 months we've found her to be extremely reliable, consistent and dedicated to her craft.
